Meet Our Co-Founders

RN Hive was founded by nurse leaders who understand the realities of healthcare leadership because we live them, too. We created RN Hive to turn that experience into practical tools, education, and community that help nurses lead with confidence and purpose.

Co-Founder
Karina Rico-Arango is a Senior. Director of Nursing committed to developing confident, empowered nurses and leaders who deliver exceptional care. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives that strengthen nursing practice, improve patient outcomes, build healthier team cultures, and support the growth of both frontline nurses and leaders.
Her experience across clinical care, operations, professional development, and quality improvement has shaped a practical approach to leadership—one grounded in clarity, consistency, and creating environments where people can thrive.
Driven by a belief that nurses deserve to feel supported, valued, and empowered, Karina co-founded RN Hive to help nurses and nursing leaders grow, connect, and lead with confidence—without sacrificing their well-being.

Co-Founder
Laura Wilkinson is a Director of Nursing who has spent her career helping nurse leaders build stronger teams, improve patient safety, and create cultures where nurses want to stay. Her work focuses on translating complex organizational challenges into practical leadership strategies that leaders can actually use.
After leading system-wide initiatives across multiple hospitals, she recognized a recurring gap: leadership challenges weren’t caused by a lack of talent or commitment. Nurse leaders were being asked to navigate increasingly complex environments without always being given the practical tools to do it well.
Laura co-founded RN Hive to help close that gap—giving nurses and nursing leaders practical education, resources, and support to lead with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
